Tottenham Manager Mauricio Pochettino and forward Heung-Min Son have both been honoured at the London Football Awards ceremony which took place at the Battersea on Thursday night.
While Pochettino took home the Manager of the Year award, Son was rewarded with Player of the Year.
This is the second year in a row that Pochettino has won the award as Tottenham have once again outperformed their London rivals in the Premier League so far.
The Argentine has ensured that his team have competed at the top end of the table despite not adding to the squad in the last two transfer windows whilst also having to put up with the uncertainty surrounding the stadium situation.
Son meanwhile has been in terrific form in front of goal, particularly from November having notched up 16 goals and 5 assists in just 33 appearances for the club. Despite his season with Spurs being interrupted by Asian Games and Asia Cup commitments, the South Korean has shown tremendous energy levels whenever called upon.
The 26-year-old’s form in front of goal has ensured that Tottenham kept getting results despite the absence of Harry Kane and Dele Alli due to injuries.
Pochettino and Son being honoured certainly comes as some welcome news in what has been a gloomy week for the club.
