Spurs player appears in latest Premier League released list after four years at club

On Thursday, all twenty Premier League clubs submitted the lists of players they will be retaining within their squads, as well as the ones they will be releasing.

Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that academy graduate, Tariq Hinds, will be leaving the club when his contract runs out at the end of the month.

Hinds joined the Spurs academy back in 2016 and has risen through the ranks from Under-16 level, progressing through the Under-18s, and becoming a regular for the Under-23s for the last couple of seasons.

After featuring 22 times for Spurs’ Development Squad in all competitions last season, the 20-year-old made 19 appearances this campaign, registering two assists (transfermarkt.com).

The versatile youngster, who is capable of filling in at either full-back position or defensive midfield, has also featured several times in the UEFA Youth League (Tottenhamhotspur.com).

After four years in North London, the club have now decided to part ways with the talented youngster.

It is always a sad moment when an academy talent is released by the club, particularly when they are from the local area (Hinds was born in Goodmayes). Hopefully, the coaches Hinds has had at Spurs have given him a solid technical, physical, and mental foundation that the defender can build on and go on to have a decent career in the game.
