Spurs player not for sale until Kane and manager situations sorted – claims market operator

Italian football market operator, Vincenzo Morabito has claimed that Erik Lamela is not for sale this summer until Spurs sort a number of other problems.

This comes after Corriere Dello Sport reported this week that Lamela would be leaving North London at the end of the season due to a lack of time on the pitch (as relayed by Sport Witness).

The report added that Napoli were in the running to sign the former Roma star, although Morabito has poured water on such rumours.

The market operator told Radio Kiss Kiss that Lamela’s future at Spurs was dependant on a number of things within the club.

He explained that Levy and co would first want to find a new head coach and also sort out the Harry Kane situation before selling the Argentine midfielder.

This comes after Sky Sports reported that Harry Kane has expressed his desire to leave Tottenham this summer as he approaches his 28th birthday.

Morabito said (as relayed by Napoli Magazine): “His future will also depend a lot on the future of Tottenham. Kane has asked for the sale and this time he’s serious.

“Tottenham first have to solve this issue and then have to find the new coach again. Lamela is not for sale right now though.”
