Lucas Moura has admitted that he is unlikely to leave Tottenham this summer, insisting that the North London club would want ‘£10m or £15m’ for him.
Moura had to be content with a bit-part role at Spurs during the second half of the 2021/22 campaign, following the arrival of Dejan Kulusevski in January.
However, the winger still finished the campaign with an impressive tally of six goals and eight assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
The former PSG man told Globo Esporte recently that he would consider returning to his boyhood club Sao Paulo when his contract with Tottenham runs out.
However, he made it clear in an interview with Brazilian outlet Esporte na Band last week that a move back to his boyhood club would not be realistic this summer and that he expects to remain at Tottenham for at least another season.
Over recent days, it has emerged that the 29-year-old is also on the radar of Juventus, who are looking to bolster their wide options (CalcioMercatoWeb).
Moura has now opened up on his intention to play Champions League football with Tottenham and insisted that the North London club would not let him go on the cheap.

The winger told ESPN Brasil (13/06/22 – as relayed by UOL and SportWitness): “Very difficult, unlikely (to leave).
“I haven’t had any conversations with the club, so I’m probably part of the plans. Not just salary, but the fee. Tottenham wouldn’t release, I don’t know, today my market value to buy would be £10m or £15m, I don’t know if it would fit in the reality of the club.
“We also qualified for the Champions League, something that motivates me a lot. I don’t know if I’ll have another opportunity to play in the Champions League.
“It’s very difficult to come back now. If the clubs are talking, I don’t know. I still need to know from Tottenham if I’m part of the project, I believe I am. In my head, I want to play this year.”

If Moura does leave this summer, it will be to another European club as Sao Paulo are not likely to be able to afford Spurs’ asking price or the winger’s wages. I expect Conte to keep the former PSG man around as a squad player for the upcoming season, especially given that teams will be allowed five substitutions.
