Spurs player provides two-word fitness update ahead of Champions League final

Tottenham Hotspur have continued their training preparations at Hotspur Way today ahead of the Champions League final.

Spurs will face Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid on June 1st and one player who will hope that he is on the field is Harry Winks.

The England international has been in impressive form in the heart of the Spurs midfield this season alongside Moussa Sissoko but saw his Premier League season cut short when he had to undergo groin surgery at the end of last month (Spurs official).

Winks has not featured for Mauricio Pochettino’s side since picking up the problem during the Champions League quarter final first leg against Manchester City late on in the 1-0 victory.

He took to social media earlier today to provide supporters with an update of his comeback by stating that he is ‘feeling good’ along with posting a photo of himself during a training session.

The vast majority of Spurs fans will certainly be hoping that Winks is fit enough to rekindle his partnership with Sissoko for the final. He has certainly shown this season that he has overtaken Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama in the midfield pecking order.
