Spurs player rejects move as he prepares to see out his final year

Mousa Dembele has rejected a £20m move to Serie A side Inter Milan, according to The Daily Mail.

The 31-year-old midfielder is set to see out the final year in his contract with the north London side.

Dembele has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs, with the main interest coming from China.

However, the Chinese Super League’s transfer window has closed meaning a mega-money move to China is off the cards for this summer.

Although Inter have already sealed the signature of Dembele’s fellow Belgian Radja Nainggolan it was not enough to tempt the Spur away from north London.

The Lilywhites experienced a midfield injury crisis in their pre-season tour of the USA after Moussa Dembele, Erik Lamela and Victor Wanyama all suffered from injuries.

Therefore, Dembele could return straight away back into Mauricio Pochettino’s side which opens Tottenham’s Premier League campaign against Newcastle United.

But Poch may not be willing to risk Dembele so soon, with Luke Amos and Oliver Skipp impressing so much throughout the USA tour.

Tottenham fans, are you happy that Dembele may be staying for another season despite his injury problems?
