Spurs player set to take part in U23 game tonight after return from injury

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Ryan Sessegnon is set to take part in the club’s U23 fixture this evening as he returns from injury.

The Spurs youth side is set to line up at Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium for a 19:00 kick-off tonight in the opening Premier League 2 fixture of the season.

This comes after the senior Tottenham side defeated Man City in North London yesterday, picking up their first three points of the season.

Although Tottenham did not reveal whether Sessegnon would start, the club did reveal that he would be involved in the match as he looks to pick up some minutes.

Sessegnon is returning from a season-long loan spell with Hoffenheim last time out and will be hoping to get chances under a new head coach in Nuno Espirito Santo this year.

Spurs Web Opinion:

With Tottenham seemingly playing a lop-sided back four with a left-wing-back at the moment, Ryan Sessegnon would be a perfect back-up to Sergio Reguilon. I hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible as I’m sure he still has a bright future.
