The Tottenham Hotspur players and backroom staff including Ange Postecoglou have arrived at Villa Park ahead of this afternoon’s match against Aston Villa.
Tottenham are looking to close the gap on their opponents, who currently enjoy a five-point advantage and occupy the all-important fourth place in the Premier League table.
While fifth place may yet be enough to qualify for next season’s Champions League, Tottenham will certainly not be wanting to rely on a co-efficient come the end of the season to secure their return to European football’s most prestigious club competition.
Tottenham need to beat Aston Villa to improve top four hopes
Spurs are looking for revenge, having suffered a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in November.
A win for Spurs would see them move two points of Unai Emery’s side while also having a game in hand, following the recent postponement of the Chelsea away fixture.
Among the members of the Tottenham first-team squad spotted arriving in the West Midlands were James Maddison, Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven.
