Spurs players arrive at Stamford Bridge ahead of Chelsea derby

The Tottenham Hotspur players and backroom staff including Ange Postecoglou have arrived at Stamford Bridge ahead of this evening’s match against Chelsea.

Tottenham have made the short trip south where they are looking to bounce back following the disappointing North London derby defeat to Arsenal on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With Borussia Dortmund’s victory in the Champions League last night having secured the Bundesliga the fifth Champions League spot ahead of the Premier League, Tottenham have to realistically win the derby against Mauricio Pocettino’s side if they have any realistic chance of catching Aston Villa.

Spurs are seven points off Aston Villa with two games in hand in the race to qualify for the Champions League, however, also face Manchester City in the other match with some fans having the dilemma of risking Arsenal winning the title should Postecoglou‘s players beat City.

Chelsea on the other hand sit four points adrift of seventh-placed Newcastle United in ninth, and with at least one game in hand on all of the teams around them still have a chance of securing European football.
