Spurs ready to bring back Kaboul?

Younes Kaboul - Header

Younes Kaboul is being linked with a surprise move back to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 24-year-old joined Portsmouth in August 2008 after just one season at White Hart Lane and reports suggest that talks are now at an advanced stage for the £10million-rated defender.

It is believed that Spurs are still owed £2m by Portsmouth after selling Kaboul.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. It must be an advance April fools joke. I think with Keane, Defoe, Chimbonda and Crouch, Harry has made his fair share of bringing ex-Spurs back. Don’t want him. Look, the guy has talent, but it does not appear to be defensive talent as he frequently messed up.

  2. Big,young, strong and has done well at Pompey. When we go to Stoke with Woodgate and Ledley crocked and Dawson and/or Bassong suspended, you can’t put Corluka in the middle. Give him another chance.

  3. i really cannot understand this one, i saw him get out jumped against west ham for their goal,i immediately thought thank god we got rid of him, i wake up this morning and looks like we have signed him, i am starting to wonder about arry some of his decisions over the past couple of months have puzzled me. not playing pav, choosing to play an off forn keane, even the defoe penalty anybody who saw his pathetic attempt at everton would told him to leave penalty taking to someone else, i hope he gets it right, while he is on it why not make a bid for berba since we are bringing all the old faces back.

  4. From what I’ve seen of him he seems to have improved greatly and has been one of Portsmouth’s better players. It was daft to sell such an inexperienced player, we’d have been better putting him out on loan.

Defenders generally improve with age and peak at around 29-30. I think this could work out well for us.

  5. He’s quality and not anything like the player who left us. Lets face it most players take a season to settle in and we got rid after only one. He was young then..not that he aint now but he now has a lot more experience of the Premiership and has been absolute quality for Portsmouth

  6. Clearly he has a lot of support here. I already said that I thought he has talent, and maybe he WAS just young and learning. But my biggest concern is buying players back again. For each player you buy back, you are missing the opportunity of getting someone fresh and potentially even better. Look at Vermaelen. I think he had a similar price tag to when Kaboul joined us – and he is the finished article. We bought back Keane and Chimbonda who are both less than what they used to be.

  7. Why is he worth 10 million, when they still owe us 2 mil for, tyhey messed up on payment ,so we should only pay 1 mil.Besides he is not for us and not worth the money. If this story is true Harry is an idiot and does not know how to look for talent outside of his circle.Has he not upset pompey fans as it is, why does he not move on from there and let them be.Can you imaging what he will do if he left us,this is not good ethics from a man who says players are mersanories.come on Harry stop all this nonsence and bring some quality in where it is needed.
