Spurs “real problem” transfer window

Mauricio Pochettino has a ‘real problem’ to deal with at Tottenham, according to Sky Sports man Michael Bridge.

We have started their pre-season campaign without a lot of our top stars with the World Cup still in action meaning Pochettino has been unable to work out and advance his plans in the transfer market and it’s causing the Tottenham boss a headache.

“The problem Tottenham have at the moment is that nine players are currently away at the World Cup,” Bridge told the Transfer Talk podcast.Moussa Dembele is wanted by clubs in China and Italy. If he goes, Spurs will be in for a midfielder. It’s still very much up in the air for Tottenham.

He added: “A couple of summers ago Adrien Rabiot was a player Spurs were very interested in.

We have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s 19-year-old attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic however  Sky Germany’s Max Bielefeld thinks that’s unlikely to go through.

“Hans Joachim Watzke would never let Pulisic go,” Bielefeld told the Transfer Talk podcast. They want him to be the new face of the new Dortmund team. He’s just 19, they bought him from the US at a young age and the fans really love him at Dortmund.

He added:”He played a lot after Ousmane Dembele left to join Barcelona, he was like the number one option on the wing when Marco Reus was injured. They count on him. He has a contract until 2020 and they won’t even look at an offer of under.”
