Spurs receive Antonio Conte boost ahead of Leicester City match

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte is today flying back to England following his recent health issues, according to Sky Sports News / Football Daily).

The 53-year-old has been in Italy having undergone gallbladder removal surgery last Wednesday having experienced severe abdominal pain (Spurs official).

Conte missed last weekend’s victory against current champions Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with assistant manager Cristian Stellini having temporarily overseen matters in the absence of the former Inter Milan boss.

It is still to be confirmed whether the Italian will be ready to lead Tottenham into their Premier League fixture away to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Stellini revealed prior to kick-off against City that Conte had entrusted him

Conte will not be able to call upon the services of club captain Hugo Lloris, who was earlier today ruled out for at least six weeks as a result of a knee injury sustained last weekend (Telegraph).
