Spurs reveal the positioning of iconic cockerel at new stadium

Tottenham Hotspur have revealed the positioning of the giant replica cockerel at the new stadium.

The iconic golden cockerel will be proudly located above the South Stand at the 62,062 seater ground and will be positioned with its left wing facing the pitch.

The club has worked with London Mould Makers to create a larger version of the original cockerel, which will stand four-and-a-half metres tall.

Original designs had the new cockerel facing North, overlooking the stadium bowl, but after listening to fans they have decided to reposition it.

Fans inside the stadium will view the Cockerel as it appears on our crest, it also maximises the visual exposure of the sculpture from all angles, regardless of where a supporter is located within the bowl.

The original cockerel which adorned the east stand of the stadium at White Hart Lane is now located in the Tottenham Experience and can be seen from the High Road above the entrance to the new Spurs Shop.

Meanwhile, the cockerel which sat above the old west stand will be placed in the players’ tunnel of the new stadium.
