Some Spurs fans have reacted positively to speculation suggesting that the club are considering an approach for Southampton striker Danny Ings.
The Daily Star reported last wekk that Ings was on Spurs’ radar as they attempt to bring in a replacement for the injured Harry Kane.
The 27-year-old has been in sensational form for the Saints so far this season, having managed 16 goals in all competitions (transfermarkt).
Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho admitted during last Thursday’s press conference that it was difficult to buy a striker willing to play second fiddle to Kane once he is fit and firing again (Football.London).
The club have also been linked with other strikers including Moussa Dembele of Lyon (Goal.com) and AC Milan misfit Krzysztof Piatek (The Sun).
However, on hearing the linked to Ings, some Spurs fans were convinced that the England man will be a perfect fit for the Lilywhites.
Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted to the rumours linking the club with a move for the Southampton forward.
This would be the best choice out of any of the rumoured players.

Spurs Web Opinion
Like many of these fans, I believe that Ings is the best signing we can make of all the strikers we’ve been linked with. However, he is likely to cost a premium given how well he is doing at Southampton. Additionally, I am not sure he will be okay with playing second fiddle to Kane as opposed to playing every week at Southampton.
