Report: Spurs miss out on another manager after trying ‘until the very last moment’

Tottenham Hotspur have seemingly received another blow in their search for a new manager, with Hansi Flick now confirmed as the new Germany boss.

Julian Nagelsmann, who was reportedly Tottenham’s number one target, apparently snubbed the club’s approach in favour of a move to Bayern Munich.

Some reports claimed that Daniel Levy was confident of convincing Brendan Rodgers to jump ship if Leicester failed to secure a top-four finish but the former Liverpool boss has made it clear that he wants to continue at the King Power Stadium.

Flick was another candidate rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, with some sources suggesting that the North London club had even held talks with the departing Bayern Munich boss.

Sport Bild’s Tobi Altschaffl has even reported that the Lilywhites tried ‘until the very last moment’ to get their hands on the 56-year-old.

Flick now appears to have become the latest manager to snub Spurs’ approach after confirmation that he has agreed to replace Joachim Low as Germany’s head coach after the European Championship.
