Lucas Moura has admitted that he and his Tottenham teammates are anxious to see whether Harry Kane will still be at the club come the end of the month.
Kane’s mooted transfer to Manchester City still appears to be quite a far way from materialising, with the Premier League champions alleged to be £50m short of Tottenham’s valuation.
Some sources suggest that Pep Guardiola’s men need to sell players before they can strike a deal with the North London club for the England captain.
Kane trained with his Tottenham teammates this week and travelled with the squad for the clash against Wolves, coming on for the final 20 minutes of the match.
The likes of Moura, Son Heung-min and Steven Bergiwjn really stepped up in Kane absence against City last week, with the same trio starting against Wolves today.
Speaking ahead of the game, Moura admitted the question marks surrounding Kane’s future are playing on the squad’s mind but insisted they will get on with it if he does leave.
The Brazilian told Correspondentes Premier podcast (as relayed by Sport Witness): “When there’s speculation like that with our best player, our greatest player, who is our reference, of course, everyone gets tense, everyone is anxious to see what will happen, what the outcome of this story is.

“But we’re professionals, of course, we have great players. Son knows how to do that function very well, as he did [against Man City], yet I really hope he stays with us because he’s an important player.”

Like Pochettino, Nuno seems to be a manager who will discard players who do not completely buy into his methods.
So, it is unlikely that he would have reintegrated Kane back into the squad if he felt the striker was not in the right frame of mind and could be a distraction for the rest of the squad.
