Spurs star continues his generosity with further five-figure donation

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has continued to show his generosity with another act of kindness.

The England international was recently revealed to be the anonymous donor who contributed £19,000 to North Middlesex University Hospital on their JustGiving page (Standard).

He followed up the gesture by purchasing hundreds of pizzas for frontline NHS workers at the hospital earlier this week.

Premier League footballers had come under intense scrutiny during the coronavirus pandemic after Health Secretary Matt Hancock called on Premier League footballers to donate a portion of their wages to struggling hospices (ITV).

Top flight players yesterday launched a collective initiative called ‘Players Together’ (Guardian) to help generate funds for the National Health Service and distribute them where they are needed most in partnership with NHS Charities Together (NHSCT) which caused Matt Hancock to welcome the announcement.

Rose has now completed his hat-trick of support by donating £10,000 each to two domestic abuse charities, SafeLives and Chayn which are helping those affected by the lockdown (The Independent).
