Spurs star hops on flight abroad to receive medical treatment

Tottenham Hotspur have been plagued with injuries so far this season, with a number of key first team players suffering stints on the side lines.

One man who has struggled more than most is midfielder Mousa Dembele.

The Belgian had only just returned from an injury last week, and was taking part in his 250th Spurs game against Wolves.

However, the big man only made it 7 minutes into what should have been a happy occasion for him before he was stretchered from the pitch with yet another serious injury.

Mousa has under a year left on his current contract with no sign of an extension being penned, so fans may be worrying that they won’t get to see one of their favourite players in a Spurs shirt again.

The player is expected back in early 2019, but if a January transfer is made, he could have potentially played his last game for Tottenham.

Spurs announced via Twitter today that Dembele has flown to Qatar to receive specialist treatment on his ankle injury.

Let’s hope he’s back as soon as possible.
