Spurs star in classy Champions League-related Tweet to Liverpool player

Moussa Sissoko completed a remarkable transformation with his situation at Tottenham Hotspur after going from a figure of frustration among most fans to somewhat of a cult icon.

After two difficult seasons in North London the French midfielder made the most of the opportunity to play in a central midfield position following the sale of Mousa Dembele and his energetic box to box displays have won over the North London faithful.

Twelve months ago, not even the most optimistic Spurs fan would have had Sissoko in their starting eleven for a Champions League final yet Mauricio Pochettino kept the faith in the 29-year-old who was one of the first names down on the team sheet.

Sissoko was unable to help his side to European glory against Liverpool in Madrid and has caused somewhat of a surprise by ‘liking’ a post on Twitter which shows their captain Jordan Henderson lifting the prestigious European trophy as part of a birthday tweet which the Reds dedicated to the England international.

Opinion

Sissoko has shown that he is over the disappointment of losing the Champions League final and his ‘like’ of the post is nothing more than a classy gesture from the midfielder who will be hoping to continue his impressive turnaround in form next season.
