Spurs star likely to make England squad despite recent injury

Tottenham Hotspur have had a strong core English contingent ever since Mauricio Pochettino took over as manager.

Current Spurs stars Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier, Harry Winks and the England captain Harry Kane are all regulars in Gareth Southgate’s squads.

Trippier, Alli, and Kane were three of England’s biggest heroes at the Russia 2018 World Cup last summer, with all three scoring at the tournament and Kane brining home the golden boot.

However, many of these players have suffered recent injuries, with Kieran Trippier and Harry Winks currently out with knocks and Kane, Alli, and Dier all only just returning from their own problems.

Despite the fact he has only played one full game since returning, Dele Alli is apparently set to be named in the most recent England squad (Standard).

The midfielder looked sharp in the loss to Southampton, but Spurs fans may have been hoping he’d be given a rest from International duty.
