Spurs star makes hilarious joke after Juan Foyth’s winner

If Manchester City are galloping to victories at the moment, Tottenham are limping their way over the line.

Last night marked yet another narrow win by one goal in recent weeks as they claimed all three points against Crystal Palace.

Spurs found it tricky to break down a stubborn Palace defence without their playmaker Christian Eriksen, but they finally broke the deadlock in the second half thanks to a header.

Harry Kane’s powerful headed effort was blocked on the line, but no one reacted faster than Juan Foyth who happily nodded home.

This marked Foyth’s first goal for the club in only his second Premier League start.

His first Prem fixture didn’t exactly go according to plan, as he gave away two second half penalties to Wolves last week.

However, man of the match performances against West Ham in the League Cup and Palace last night proved to be impressive bookends to these mistakes.

Foyth’s defensive partner for the evening Toby Alderweireld made a funny joke on Twitter, with Foyth’s Argentine team mate Lionel Messi the butt.
