Spurs star makes promise that fans are yet to see the best of him

Dejan Kulusevski has said following his impressive showing against Leeds United that Tottenham fans are yet to see the best of him yet.

Kulusevski made quite an impact when he arrived at Spurs from Juventus back in January of this year, with the Swede quickly establishing himself as a key player for Antonio Conte’s men.

The 22-year-old started the new campaign off from where he left off last season but he picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty towards the end of September, which kept him out of action for more than a month.

Kulusevski being sidelined coincided with a downturn in results for Spurs, with Conte not being helped by the fact that he also had to make do without the likes of Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Richarlison at various points.

Both Richarlison and Kulusevski returned to the starting lineup against Leeds and their impact was certainly felt, with the former Juve man looking extremely threatening down the right all game.

Kulusevski laid the match-winner on the plate for Rodrigo Bentancur in the 83rd minute and he has taken to Instagram after the game to suggest that there is still a lot more to come.

Here’s what the winger posted after Tottenham’s 4-3 win over Leeds:

Spurs Web Opinion

I genuinely believe that Kulusevski and Bentancur have now become our two most important players after Harry Kane. The Swede’s ability to make things happen whenever he gets on the ball, makes Conte’s 3-4-3 system tick, and I suspect that the Tottenham head coach will be keen on signing a competent backup to the 22-year-old in January.
