Spurs star misses out on Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week

Despite showcasing his brilliant vision and passing range at St Mary’s on Sunday where he set up all four of Son Heung-min’s goals, Harry Kane seems to have missed out on more than one pundits’ Premier League Team of the Week.

We previously covered how the England captain’s name was absent from Garth Crooks’ BBC Team of the Week, with the former Spurs striker instead choosing to go with an attacking trio of Sadio Mane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, alongside Son Heung-min.

It turns out that Alan Shearer also does not have a place for the Tottenham striker in his Team of the Week, with the Newcastle legend choosing to put Wilfried Zaha in his team following his brace at Old Trafford last Saturday.

One man who will certainly disagree with both Shearer’s and Crooks’ selections is Jose Mourinho, with the Spurs boss insisting after the game that Kane was his Man of the Match despite Son getting on the scoresheet on four occasions.
