Tottenham Hotspur’s midfield maestro Christian Eriksen is reportedly on a carefully managed fitness schedule ahead of the crunch match against Chelsea this weekend.
Spurs take on their London rivals in the late kick off on Saturday evening.
The Evening Standard have reported that the Great Dane’s fitness is continued to be monitored after playing 45 minutes for Denmark in the week.
The half-time sub was pre-arranged between Denmark and Spurs.
The Danish team had already qualified top of their group, so there was no need to risk Eriksen for more than the first half.
The midfield man only returned from injury a month or so ago, an abdominal issue that kept him out of the Spurs side for over four weeks.
Eriksen has yet to really hit top gear or top form since his return to the side, hence why his fitness is still being managed by Spurs.
We would still expect him to start at Wembley on Saturday.
