Spurs star reveals he has a room dedicated for the ‘special’ gifts he gets from fans

Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min is undoubtedly one of the most loved players in the Premier League.

While Son is a fan favorite among Spurs fans for obvious reasons, fans of other clubs also seem to have for a soft spot for the South Korean.

The 26-year-old also enjoys rockstar status in South Korea being one of the best players the country has produced.

The pacey forward is now available for selection against Newcastle United after serving his three-match suspension following the red card he received against Bournemouth in the penultimate Premier League game of last season.

Ahead of the game, Son sat down for an interview with Daily Star in which he talked about the red card and his drive to improve.

The former Bayern Leverkusen man also revealed that he receives a lot of gifts from his fans and that he has a room dedicated in his house where he keeps them.

He said, “I get a lot of gifts. Some sweets, some candies. Many letters. Some pictures of me. One person made a picture book about me. There was a pillow, with my face on. A blanket.

“It’s not easy to make these things. I’m really grateful. Some of them are small but for me they are special things. I have a special room for them. A display.”

Spurs Web Opinion

While Son clearly has an abundance of talent, it is his fantastic attitude and humility that makes him such a loved figure. We at Spurs Web expect the South Korean to come straight into the line up against Newcastle. If he can stay fit through the season, we believe he can outdo his goal tally from last season.
