Spurs star reveals why he will not be watching All or Nothing anytime soon

Hugo Lloris has admitted that he will not be watching Amazon Prime’s behind the scenes documentary of Tottenham Hotspur’s 2019/20 season.

The first three episodes of ‘All or Nothing: Spurs’ were released on Monday and have created quite a buzz on social media.

Fans have got to witness what went on during Jose Mourinho’s first few weeks at the club after the Portuguese coach replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the helm in late November.

Amazon’s cameras located within Mourinho’s office captured the Spurs boss conducting one on one talks with the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier.

Dier hoped that the series would give fans an understanding of the kind of environment at top football clubs.

In an interview to promote the series, the England international told The Evening Standard: “I’d imagine you’re going to see a lot that hasn’t been seen: you’re going to see the preparation that goes into the games; you’re going to see behind the scenes of the training ground, travelling to and from games, manager’s team talks.

“I think you’re going to see the players in different environments. I think you’re going to see the intensity at which we live our lives: it’s a very intense, constant atmosphere. Hopefully, people will get an understanding of what it’s like and what’s at stake.”

Lloris meanwhile revealed that he is not one to relive past events, admitting that he has not even watched back France’s victorious 2018 World Cup campaign.

The goalkeeper said: “I’ve never watched one clip from the World Cup [which he won with France in 2018], so I’m not sure I will watch all the work that Amazon has done I’m afraid.

“Don’t take it the wrong way, it’s just that I don’t like to watch myself or my team-mates. I prefer to live in the present and enjoy the moment. Maybe later, one day.”

Spurs Web Opinion

While the appeal of the documentary to Spurs fans is obvious, I believe neutrals too will enjoy the series more than the previous editions of All or Nothing. The Manchester City one, the Leeds one and even Netflix’s Sunderland documentary were focussed on grander narratives about the respective cities and the team’s quest for success (or to avoid failure). Based on the first three episodes, there seems to be much more focus on the trials of tribulations of managing the first-team in the Tottenham documentary, with more insights being offered into the challenges the players and the coaching staff face.
