Spurs star seen in protective boot claims ‘it doesn’t look good’ and ‘it will be a while’

It was good news for Spurs tonight as they qualified for the Champions League knockout stages with a 4-2 win over Olympiacos, but it wasn’t all smiles in the dressing room.

It has now been reported by Jonathan Veal that Ben Davies was seen wearing a protective boot and using crutches in the mixed zone tonight after the match.

Davies was subbed off against West Ham at the weekend through injury after starting Mourinho’s first game in charge of the Lilywhites.

Danny Rose came in to replace the Welshman tonight in the Champions League and it looks as if that could be a regular occurrence moving forward.

Ben Davies reportedly claimed that the injury does not look good and that he could be out with it for a while.

Tottenham also have Ryan Sessegnon at their disposal, who played at left-back during some of his Fulham days, although he has not yet made his full Spurs debut.
