Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen is reported to be ready to start a second round of contract negotiations at the club, according to The Sun.
The Dane’s currently earns around £55,000-a-week, while top earner Harry Kane takes home £200,000-a-week after penning a new six-year deal during the summer.
Eriksen’s contract expires in two year’s time and has been the subject of interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
A first round of talks during the summer ended with no contract extension being signed after the Dane reportedly wanted £160,000-a-week which would have doubled his earnings.
It is said that Daniel Levy is prepared to offer the 26-year-old an improved deal worth £95,000-a-week before bonuses which would make him one of the club’s top earners.
Fellow midfielder Dele Alli is also said to be close to agreeing a new deal with the club.
It would represent a huge boost if Spurs could tie down the midfield duo on improved contracts. Hopefully the club will also begin more talks with Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
