Tottenham Hotspur’s club captain and goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, made his 300th appearance for the club in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City.
Lloris joined Spurs in 2012 from French side Lyon during the reign of Andre Villas-Boas and has been an integral part of the side ever since.
Under Mauricio Pochettino Lloris was named club captain. With Lloris wearing the armband, Spurs have gone on to secure their status as a Champions League regular for the past four seasons, whilst also finishing runner up in the competition last year.
In reaching such an impressive milestone, Lloris became only the 43rd Spurs player to ever play 300 games for the club.
The former Lyon player stuck by us when we were playing season after season of Europa League football whilst his talents deserved to be playing in the Champions League.
After an impressive performance against the current Premier League champions on Saturday, in which Lloris made 8 saves, the Frenchman spoke with the club regarding his pride on reaching 300 appearances for Tottenham.

“Over the years now I have shown my commitment towards the Club and I’m really pleased with the way that we are going.
“It has demanded a lot of effort inside the dressing room and inside the Club, but I think step by step we have built a really strong team, a really strong club and hopefully the best is ahead of us.
“I just try to enjoy it and try to help my team-mates, try to be one of the leaders of the team and like all my team-mates, we all want to find the moment to win trophies.
“We chase after that, we work for that and we just need to be a bit patient, keep working with the right mentality as always and hopefully we will be rewarded – the players, the Club and mainly the fans, they deserve it.”

Not your stereotypically loud captain, Hugo leads in a calm yet authoritative manner and has guided Spurs to our best league finishes in the Premier League.
