The Wales national side have revealed that Ben Davies has withdrawn from the current squad ahead of their World Cup qualifiers due to injury.

Davies was one of three Tottenham players to be called up to the Wales senior side, alongside Gareth Bale and Joe Rodon.

Wales did not reveal what type of injury Davies was suffering from or how severe the problem was. It remains to be seen how long he could be out for.

The Wales national side are set to play Belgium, Mexico and the Czech Republic over the course of the next six days before the players return to club action.

Spurs’ other senior left-back, Sergio Reguilon, was removed from action after the hour mark against Aston Villa at the weekend due to a foot injury.

Tottenham will be hoping that both left-backs can make it back ahead of the club’s return to action after the international break in early April.
