Spurs starlet Bostock completes Hull switch

John Bostock

Hull City have completed the season-long loan switch of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder John Bostock.

The England Under-19 international has always been regarded as one of the best prospects in the country, but hasn’t lived up to his billing as of yet.

Bostock recently signed a new deal to remain at White Hart Lane until 2013 and Spurs fans will be hoping that the player can shine during his spell with the Championship club.

He made his Spurs debut in a 2008 UEFA Cup game against Dinamo Zagreb and, at 16 years and 295 days, he also became Tottenham’s youngest ever player.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. I blame Harry and Bostock for is stuttering Carrear , when Harry gave Bostock is first taste of first team football is little cameo role had fans and Bostock Hungry for more. Sadly Harry sent him back to the under 18 and then he moved him even further away from the first Team by stopping the reserve games and sending players on loan to Yeovil and Orient . We plucked Bostock from the Championship and Harry loaned him to struggling Brentford he scored two great goals and a few assists then faded badly. This lad was given a Rolls Royce then told to give it back and Drive a Mini in other words his head was messed up by is taste of the first Team. Now he could get back to his best at Hull the level he came from and get back to the lad we signed and know could be special.

  2. You have to be a very special player to be a regular in the prem at 18/19 so this is positive step. Good luck to Bostock and if you are as good as you believe you are you will dominate that division. I suspect you have a hell of a lot to learn and it will bring it home to you what you need to do to succeed. I saw Rio Ferdinand and Jermaine Defoe at Bournemouth and everyone knows what happened to them. Ignore the idiotic comments above and just hope he works hard to get to where we would like him to be.

  3. But how are these players gonna get into the senior England squad playing in the lower divisions? Thats why England will never win a European Championship or World Cup again.
