Spurs starlet sums up his year after season-ending injury halted his progress

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Luke Amos has posted on Instagram to share his thoughts on the year as 2018 comes to a close.

With a large contingent of Spurs players having appeared at the World Cup, the 21-year-old was given an opportunity to be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-season tour of the United States and
started the ICC fixtures against Roma, Barcelona and AC Milan.

Such as the impression he made during pre-season, he was named among the substitutes for the Premier League opener at Newcastle United and came off the bench to make his first-team debut.

However, Amos’ ambitions for the season took a huge blow when twisted his knee in an Under-23 match against Blackburn Rovers in late September and suffered ligament damage.

Such was the extent of the injury, he had to undergo surgery once the swelling had subsided and was ruled out for the remainder of the current season.

He has seen fellow academy product Oliver Skipp become somewhat of a regular in the Spurs match day squad in recent weeks and is a case of what could have been for the injured midfielder.

Amos posted the following on his Instagram account, where he had described his year as a rollercoaster.
