Spurs strike Bitcoin deal

Tottenham have announced they have partnered with global investment platform eToro.

The Israel-based company has also landed deals with Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion and Cardiff City.

This has become the first ever sponsorship deal to pay the clubs in bitcoin currency.

Iqbal V. Gandham, UK Managing Director at eToro, said: “As a leading multi-asset company where you can purchase the world’s biggest crypto assets alongside more traditional investments, we are excited to be partnering with Tottenham Hotspur and to make history by being the first company ever to pay for a Premier League partnership in bitcoin.”
