Tottenham Hotspur, today announced striker Vincent Janssen has undergone minor surgery on his foot.
The Dutch forward will now begin a recovery period before starting his rehabilitation schedule.
The striker spent last season out on loan to Turkish side Fenerbache where he netted on four occasions in their domestic campaign.
Since joining the Lilywhites Janssen has struggled to nail down a place in the squad following a difficult first season for the striker.
The 24-year-old’s future has been in major doubt all summer with a move abroad seeming imminent.
With Harry Kane securing the first team spot and Fernando Llorente occupying the backup role to the English striker it seems Janssen does not have a future at the club.
However, whether a team is willing to gamble on the player so soon after his surgery is another question.
Spurs fans, would you like to see Janssen stay and be given another chance or leave the club?
