Spurs striker hopes to be fit for Manchester United clash

Peter Crouch is hoping to be fit to face Manchester United on Saturday.

The striker almost missed Tottenham’s victory against Chelsea with a virus and wants to help fire the club into the Champions League.

Crouch said: “I was lucky to be on the bench against Chelsea, I didn’t train on Friday and stayed at home.

“If we can get into the Champions League it will be a huge achievement. If we can do that and build on it that would be great. You’ve got to stay there. I’ve been fortunate to play in it and it’s the best competition in the world.

“A club like this deserves to be there and hopefully we can get there and then obviously the top clubs have the consistency to stay there and we need to do that.”

  1. I can’t believe how vital this game against Manure is now all made possible by the grit determination and class we showed against the Arsenal and Chelsea, and we didn’t just beat Chelsea we spanked em ok the scoreline doesn’t reflect that but we could have and should have had five or six against them. To be honest I thought four points from the Arsenal Chelsea games, derby games are different aren’t they but to have six points after those two games sets us up nicely for the Man U game. And its not impossible to go there and get something either won’t be easy but if we play like we know we can Man U should be worried about us not the other way around. I pray we have Lennon fit for that game, can you see it Bale on the left Lennon on the right giving their full-backs hell all afternoon. As a Spurs man I have waited a long time to see my team show this desire too long have we eaten the scraps that the so called big four leave us this is it this is the new dawning so put on your sunglasses kids the future is bright the future is lillywhite. COYS. Lillywhitetilidie.
