Spurs suffer transfer blow regarding £25m man

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a big blow in their chase for Blackburn’s Bradley Dack.

Dack is his club’s current top goal scorer this season with 10 already, and has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Spurs (Evening Standard).

West Brom even had a summer bid of £15m turned down for the Englishman (The Sun).

However, Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray claims that all bids will be rejected for his star player come January.

Dack was pivotal in Blackburn’s promotion into the Championship last season, scoring 18 goals and setting up a further nine.

Despite only just being promoted, Blackburn are ninth in the table, and only two points off the play offs.

Despite admitting Dack’s desire to play in the Premier League, Mowbray insists that he is not going anywhere.

However, he does emphasise the phrase ‘in this next window’, so a deal could be struck come the summer.

Should Spurs go for him?

Team Talk report Mowbray said: “He won’t go anywhere, even if we get big bids, in this next window.

“We bought him for £750k, if we sell him for £25million I’d hope I get a good chunk of that to spend on two or three players.

“He wants to play in the Premier League and I’m sure he can. This window [in January] will come up quickly on us. My hope is that Bradley knocks on my door and says that he doesn’t want to go.”
