Spurs’ summer signing praises Arsenal player on social media

Tottenham winger Ryan Sessegnon has put the North London rivalry aside to heap praise on Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe after his performance against Everton on Saturday.

The Gunners managed to come away from Goodison Park with a 0-0 draw despite being second best for most of the encounter and Smith-Rowe who was making his Premier League debut had a solid game.

Sessegnon who moved from Fulham to Spurs in a £25million deal in the summer (BBC), has reportedly played alongside the Arsenal youngster for England’s U-19 and U-20 sides (TBR Football).

The wide man has only made four appearances since his big move in the summer partly due to injury problems but he scored his first goal in a Spurs shirt against Bayern Munich in the Champions League a couple of weeks ago (transfermarkt).

When Smith-Rowe took to Instagram to reveal his delight at making his debut for Arsenal, Sessegnon wrote in the comments section: “Well done bro.”

One of the things that has most impressed me about Sessegnon is the maturity he has shown since his arrival. He seems to be quite keen to learn and develop his game which is always a great sign for a young player. Unlike Mourinho, I believe that his future will be at wing-back rather than further forward.
