Spurs take another financial hit after another stadium event is cancelled

Guns N’ Roses have cancelled their forthcoming UK and European tour dates due to the global outbreak of coronavirus.

The band were scheduled to perform at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 29th and 30th of this month.

This comes as the latest blow to Spurs after the NFL also confirmed earlier this month that the two games scheduled to be played at the club’s stadium this year will be played in the United States instead, due to the pandemic.

The Daily Mail estimated that the Lilywhites could lose over £4million in revenue due to the cancellation of the NFL matches.

This summer was set to be a busy time at the North London venue which was initially also supposed to host the Capital’s Summertime Ball and Anthony Joshua’s fight with Kubrat Pulev, along with the Guns N’ Roses concert.

The club would have hoped that the events would have been postponed to a later date.

However, Guns N’ Roses have taken to social media to reveal that the entire European tour planned for this year will be cancelled.

In all likelihood, neither the Summertime Ball nor Anthony Joshua’s fight with Kubrat Pulev is going to go ahead at the stadium given that public gatherings are unlikely to be given the green light for the rest of the year. Daniel Levy will be hoping that the events will be pushed to next year instead of being cancelled.
