Spurs target could be on his way to North London after what he did on Twitter

While many Tottenham fans will be dreaming of signing Tanguy Ndombele in the coming weeks, it appears as if their transfer drought may finally be broken by a teenager.

Spurs haven’t invested in a new senior player for nearly a year and a half, with Lucas Moura being the last addition to the squad back in January 2018.

Reports now indicate that Spurs have agreed an £8.5m fee, plus add-ons, with Leeds United for winger Jack Clarke (Standard).

Clarke is also expected to slot straight into the senior squad at Spurs, rather than going back on loan to the Championship side.

The youngster appeared 25 times for Leeds last season, despite only making his first start in January, and he managed two goals and two assists through the campaign.

Clarke himself may have dropped the biggest hint of them all regarding a potential Tottenham arrival, as one Spurs fan account appears to have proof that he liked a tweet about the transfer. Clarke now appears to have removed the like.
