Spurs target could be available at a bargain price say reports

Tottenham Hotspur will likely dip into the transfer market come January, after failing to sign a single player in the summer window.

Pochettino and Levy often favour cheaper, more youthful signings, and this latest rumour is no different.

Youngster Josh Maja has already netted 11 goals for Sunderland this season.

The Coventry Telegraph claim that Bristol City are keen on a January move for the forward, with Spurs, Manchester City, and Southampton all monitoring his situation.

They also claim that Maja could be available for as little as £6m.

The last time Spurs took a risk of this kind on a League One player, they ended up with a young man called Dele Alli.

The 19-year-old Maja’s current contract is up in the summer, so Sunderland may find it hard to turn down even a small offer if a new deal isn’t on the table.

This could be a great low-key signing for Poch to get under his belt.
