Spurs to play two friendly matches within 24 hours

Tottenham Hotspur are all set to take on Norwich City in a friendly on Friday as the players look to build up their match fitness in time for the resumption of the Premier League next week.

Football.London have now revealed that the North Londoners will host Reading in another friendly just 24 hours later.

It is claimed that Jose Mourinho is keen for his first-team squad to build their match fitness before the clash against Manchester United which is why he has decided to play two friendly games on consecutive days.

It is revealed that the Spurs boss plans to use a different line up against Norwich and Reading respectively in order to give all of his players match practise.

The Tottenham squad played an eleven vs eleven training game last Friday with all the first-team regulars apart from Giovani Lo Celso and Japhet Tanganga being involved.

It looks like all of the players can expect to get another ninety minutes under their belt on in the coming days.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would expect that the eleven that is named against Norwich to be pretty close to the line up that starts against Manchester United next Friday, while the others will likely get a run-out against Reading on Saturday. We could get a massive hint on who starts against United when Spurs take to the field against Norwich.
