Spurs told Grealish ‘will not be sold’ by Aston Villa owner

It is believed Aston Villa’s new owner has told Spurs his star player Jack Grealish ‘will not be sold’ according to Sky Sports News.

The 22-year-old has been Villa’s main man over the past couple of seasons and it is believed the new Villa owner has no interest in Tottenham’s money for the youngster.

Yet another dramatic twist in this ongoing saga after Spurs lodged a bid for a reported £25m last night.

This news comes after Steve Bruce admitted it would be difficult for his side to keep hold Grealish with the player setting his sights at the highest level:

“We understand the human side. He will want to play in the Premier League, Europe, Champions League,” the 57-year-old boss said.

“He’s a wonderful talent and we’ll do our best to keep hold of him, but obviously it’s going to be difficult. It’s going to be a fraught two or three days.”

Spurs remain the only Premier League club not to add to their squad and this breaking news only adds to the disappointment for the Spurs faithful in what has been a frustrating transfer window.
