Micah Richards - Header

Manchester City have insisted that Micah Richards will not be leaving Eastlands.

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on the England international, who can operate as a full-back or at centre half.

But a Man City club source told the club: “Micah is a key part of Roberto’s plans and is part of the future at City. He will be going nowhere.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. This would not bother me because we have two good lads coming through Caulker and Butcher one who excites me Caulker he played centre forward in an emergency for Yeovil against Leeds and nearley scored and showed some skill.

  2. Wouldn't be a big loss as this kid seems to have more athletic potential than footballing, a la Jenas. The only attainable ManCity player I'd like to see in a Spurs shirt is Stephen Ireland.

  3. Ever Since he emerged on the scene a few years back I have quietly wished and hoped he would some day be playing for us, and this summer I thought that there was a bloody good chance of that happening, but to be honest and more realistic, we don't really need him -Do we? although He would be a nice addition to the squad -very nice indeed lol, but we'll cope just fine, We have Charlie, and Kaboul, even though Charlie isn't the quickest -like Harry "I like the lad" he's done a decent Job for us,…and is part of the Croatian Trio that so many of us are fond of… One thought though is the Chapions League… should we qualify… I may be a bit concerned about Charlie stepping up against top attackers across Europe or worse him and Kaboul being injured at the same time,… but we can't and won't ever have a perfect squad and if it weren't for injurys the likes of Lennon, Bale and many others might not have got a chance to show there worth,… hummmm Not Signing Micah Richards could turn about to be a blessing in Disguise!!! COYS!!! (In Levy and 'Arry we trust!!)

  4. I don't think Citeh will be quick to sell decent players to us- seeing as we pipped them to 4th & I believe they fear/respect us to do so again. I am a little dissapointed cos I felt Richards could have been a bargain & the coaching staff made him into a decent RB. But we are amply covered there just as LB. We need to improve offensive cutting edge & although Bellamy would offer this- buying him makes no commercial sense whatsoever- a 31yr old @ 6m & premium wages?? Thank heavens for Levy- cos as much as I love Arry u know he'd go for a deal like this & that's why Pompey suffered.
