According to talkSPORT Spurs are said to be tracking Lyon midfielder Tanguy N’Dombele.
N’Dombele, 21, spent the past season on loan at Lyon and they recently activated the £7m buyout clause to sign him permanently from Amiens.
His performances for Les Gones have been very impressive so much so that even French champions Paris Saint-Germain were in talks about a potential summer move.
And now, according to French publication L’Equipe, Spurs are also keeping close tabs on the Longjumeau-born central midfielder. The French side insist they do not want to sell him having only just signed him outright however L’Equipe believe that stance may change should a club offer them a quick and hefty profit on their recent outlay.
The article describes how he really announced himself as a potential star of the future with 32 outings for Lyon this term, helping them to a third-place finish.
Could Dembele be replaced to N’Dombele? Now our recent forays into the Ligue 1 transfer market haven’t exactly been a success so one would question the thinking behind this one. N’Koudou, N’Jie, & Stambouli all failed miserably at Hotspur Way and one would wonder if N’Dombele might follow suit.
