Spurs tracking young French defender

According to talkSPORT Tottenham have sent scouts to track young French defender Junior Kingue.

The 19 year-old is currently at Santos of Brazil, having moved across the world after trialling with a host of clubs throughout Europe.

According to the article he spent time with both Manchester United and Manchester City in the Premier League, before taking in spells with Dutch sides Ajax, Twente and Feyenoord.

However his journey has brought him to Brazil and he trialled with Atletico Paranense, before Santos brought him in on a permanent deal, on the recommendation of Brazilian legend Pele.

And now, according to publication Foot Mercatoa return to Europe for Kingue could be on the cards.

The article adds that he is said to be in advanced negotiations with un-named Ligue 1 club in France while Tottenham have sent scouts to keep an eye on the teenager’s progress.

Fellow Premier League club Burnley are also reported to have watched Kingue in action, as well as Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk and an unnamed Italian team.
