Layvin Kurzawa has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain, amidst rumoured interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs were said to be considering a move for the left-back during the January transfer window but the defender was reportedly determined to run out his contract with PSG and leave as a free agent this summer (Foot Mercato).
The left-back had singed a temporary extension in order to play a part in PSG’s Champions League campaign but his contract was due to run out at the end of the current season.
However, the Ligue 1 giants have now taken to Twitter to confirm that the 27-year-old has signed a new four-year deal to keep him at the club until 2024.
90 min claims that the news comes as a big blow to not only Spurs but also the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Everton, who were interested in snapping up the full-back this summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
I am not convinced that signing a left-back is a priority for Spurs this summer. Based on the players we have been linked with, I believe a new right-back, centre-back, defensive midfielder and a striker (and potentially a winger) are the Tottenham boss’s priorities when the transfer window opens.
