The Daily Mail are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are seeking Mauricio Pochettino’s approval to sign Swansea City left-back Ben Davies.
We all know how desperate we are for a new left-back. Last season’s performances by Danny Rose were evident that he is not up to the standard to play week-in week-out for us which led the club to send scouts to the Liberty Stadium on a number of occasions last season to watch the Welsh international.
According to the report, Spurs are now waiting for Pochettino to green-light the deal. Benoit Assou-Ekotto spent last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers and it remains to be seen if Harry Redknapp will try and sign him on a permanent deal following their return to the Premier League.
