Another injured Tottenham player joins Dejan Kulusevski in timely Europa League return

It has been exclusively revealed to Spurs Web that Kevin Danso is set to return to Tottenham Hotspur training ahead of their crucial Europa League quarter-final second leg tie against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tottenham Hotspur know exactly what is expected of them when they travel to Germany on Thursday.

The Lilywhites simply have to perform better than they did on Sunday against Wolverhampton Wanderers if they are to have any chance of making it through to the semi-finals.

However, a victory against Eintracht Frankfurt won’t come easy, with the atmosphere at Deutsche Bank Park expected to be as loud as it gets, following reports from Ange Postecoglou’s scout.

Kevin Danso returns to the Tottenham squad for Eintracht Frankfurt clash

Ahead of the second-leg quarter-final clash, SpursWeb has learned that Kevin Danso will return to the Tottenham squad for the match in Germany on Thursday.

Danso has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury against Bournemouth in the Premier League.

The central defender brings plenty of experience in Germany, having previously played for both Augsburg and Fortuna Dusseldorf earlier in his career.

Ange Postecoglou is still expected to start Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero at the heart of the defence, with Danso back on the bench to provide cover for the first-choice duo.

Tottenham go into the second leg with the score level at 1-1, following the match in North London last week, where Pedro Porro cancelled out Hugo Ekitike’s early strike.

Spurs’ season is on the line in Germany

There’s a lot on the line for Tottenham on Thursday, as anything short of a win will bring their season to a complete halt.

Spurs have struggled for consistency in the league and are now playing purely for pride domestically, but the results just haven’t improved, making victory in Germany absolutely vital.

A loss against Frankfurt could very well see Postecoglou get sacked as early as Friday, with his job under serious pressure.

For fans in the UK, the Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham clash will be shown live on TNT Sports 3 at 8pm on Thursday.
