Tottenham are due a home win over Arsenal

Arsenal have won their last two visits to their rivals’ home ground but Mikel Arteta’s men are depleted this time, as they will be without some key players, including Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard.

Tottenham will sense an opportunity to turn over their fierce rivals, with the Lilywhites needing a win after their disappointing loss at St James’ Park just before the international break.

Ange Postecoglou will certainly not shy away from having a go at the Gunners and Carragher believes that the home side will dominate proceedings.

However, he backed the Gunners to hold tight at the back and emerge with a point from the game.

Neville and Carragher predict the NLD score

The former Liverpool man said on Stick To Football: “I think Tottenham will dominate the game, but Arsenal’s defence will make sure they get something from the game.”

Neville suggested that Arsenal’s injuries will hamper their chances of emerging with a third consecutive win from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He said: “I just think that Arsenal could have a couple of players, well, they got a couple of players out, big players, Declan Rice and Odegaard probably, so I think that will harm them. They are massive players for Arsenal.”

When asked to predict the result of the game, both Neville and Carragher went with a 1-1 draw.

We will have most of the possession but Arsenal are very well organised defensively and will be difficult to break down. We need to take our chances to have any chance of emerging with all three points.
