Shrewsbury Town have confirmed that they have signed Tottenham Hotspur winger Shilow Tracey on a season-long loan.
Tracey made his non-competitve debut for Spurs in a pre-season friendly match away to Girona in August 2018, and while an injury sidelined him for the first half of the 2018/19 campaign, he eventually returned to make 13 appearances for the club’s Development Squad in all competitions that season.
The right-sided winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Macclesfield Town and while he did put in a few decent performances, he was unable to help the silkmen avoid the drop.
The 22-year-old will be hoping his spell at Shrewsbury turns out much better, as Sam Ricketts’ side look to bounce back from a disappointing start to their League One campaign.
The Spurs wide man admitted his delight at completing a temporary switch to New Meadow as he looks to continue his development.
Tracey said about the move: “Hopefully I can get some game time, learn, improve as a player, and help the team get some wins under our belts.”
